    Hi all,

Can anyone please tell me what the hardware is on these backing plates, mainly the wheel cylinders?

Chevy Huck brakes, used from the mid 30s till the late 40s.

Thanks, chevy Huck, is that a pickup?

  4. Take a look at a FC281 wheel cylinder. 1947 to 1950 GMC.

If you are in the process of adapting these brakes to a hot rod, you might want to think about finding some Bendix brakes instead. But you didn't give us much to go on....

    OK, back story.
I'm planning on swapping my stock rod brakes on my 32 pickup for bendix style yes.
I was planning on starting another thread to discuss this but that's OK.
I really want to keep the stock 32 v8 rear axle with the curved spring (for now) and find out which bendix style brakes will work or any conversions that have been done before.
These brakes I'm asking to identify came with the truck when I bought it and just think they are cool and they do fit on the stock axle (see photo) and I could use the rod handbrake which would be pretty cool.
The backing plates I'm told are 1935 ford but it was the hardware I wasn't sure on.
Bendix all round would be ideal but having these on the back would be OK I think.
