You think those studes are glass replicas? Or real steel. I’d like to check out the chassis mods just for fun.

The Studes are popular there for their aerodynamics, like they are at Bonneville. The old rule book required a lot of original parts like, no fiberglass, and modifications were limited, except for safty, roll cage, fuel cell, brakes

You can see in the photo of that blue Stude video, the front fender appears to be glass.... Or at least part of it is.

  22. Yes it is.

Which is ironic since they aren't as aero as folks think. That is why you se the huge wings and spill plates run at Bonneville

As I recall back when I was researching it. The cutoff was a 1954 year for vintage classes. I think! There were also a lot of 1954 FORDS but not 55 and on until you get to some other division and then years can change.

Not even one Lincoln in that group in the video. They did well for a few years in the early 50's.

There was one Brit that contacted me thru HAMB that was building a Lincoln for the historic class and I passed on the info and contacts I have. I guess he gave up what with all the border disruptions, covid etc. etc. I had suggested he build a car here in the US and located some parts and a car but he wasn't interested

  30. Is it safe to assume you have built and raced a car there?
