I changed my name from Legends47 to DC40. The Legends47 name came from when I raced Legend cars and it was my number. I haven't raced a Legend car since 1998 and thought I might as well leave it behind.
Ryan is the only one that can change a persons name here... I would suggest that if anyone is going to consider asking him, Don't choose a name that is tied to a certain car... nothing lasts forever... I used my last name as I am not trying to hide from anyone.

Have always thought to change to my mothers maiden name as my fathers name and connections are lost most likely to his mothers 7 marriages....but stillrunner is what most of my friends have always asked of my old rides.....
Mine was (and is) my "other" email address when I joined here. Could have used Chopt 48 that I use on a couple of other boards or Dave 46 which Was my nickname in Nam =Dave and the year I was born. When I was teaching a lot of my students called me Dave rather than by my first name or instead of using my whole last name.
I picked my name because when I joined I was building a 56 Chevy. Since I sold it last year I thought I needed a new name but then I got to thinking that I am so old and forgetful now that I might not remember it so I guess I will just keep it. Makes people think I am only 56 years old.....
VANDENPLAS, no problem with that. When I was a young teenager, we moved to a farming community in central Oklahoma populated by Czechoslovakians, Bohemians and Poles with names spelled with at least 25 consonants and one vowel. Kids on the school bus were constantly making fun of my last name, Purvis, because it only had six letters. After a couple of months of being called Pruvis, Purdy, and Privy, the one that always got them laughing hysterically was Pervert. I asked one of them to spell his last name and he said, " I don't gotta spell it, I just say it. "
I remember getting promoted to grenade inspector and felling sorta kinda like I accomplished something
I figured it was better than my first choice. "HunkyBigDickTotallyWastedMoron" (...and only a moron would reply to his own post)
