What I like about this pic is the "Shop" Back in the day in Milwaukee WI. we had paint by "Butch" his shop was a 2 car garage behind his Mother's, turned out beautiful work in a garage like this picture with a big long haired dog to boot. I think he packed up and went to California, not sure, I had him paint a cycle gas tank and fender, outstanding work and very reasonable at the time, early 70's, He used all lacquer, I painted cars in a driveway with enamel, black $8/gal, reducer, $1.50/gal in the 60's. Two years ago I sprayed the front of my 51 Merc, road rash repair, about $500 materials total, lowest quote I got was $2500. and we wonder why young guys are building cars minus paint/chrome/upholstery, biggest trend I see with the young guys coming around here in Wi.
