Wow haven’t heard Craig’s name in a long time. Dad and his car buddies use to talk about him and garlits and the others. Thanks for bringing back some great memories

That would make one great event to see @tdog's Omaha Coupe versus this icon...It's often discussed how could such a Stunning Hotrod end up like this but at this point I'm just glad it survived...

Congratulations @36 Vick...what's the game plan...I look forward to a build Thread...fingers crossed...;)

I think at this point, once I get it home, it will be in mock up for some time. I’ve got other projects that need attention.

  9. Are you planning on bringing back to how Craig had it?

I do not think the near future has it going back to the way Craig had it. That would be a very intense restoration.

I will be putting in wheel Wells. Make a reproduction fire wall, as it was in Craig’s day.
I will run 2 bucket seats

engine will be a 51 Merc flathead with a 4-71 and possibly a 4x2 intake set up.

My biggest concern will be the windshield set up. Most likely reinforce the surrounding and use a piece of lean, as he had it. Verses a windshield frame.

A quick update. The coupe has plans to get to Bonneville this year. Not so much the way Mr Breedlove had it, but with a lil twist. Parts are being collected and assembled.

Here the coupe sits in mock-up

Regards and blessings to you all!

    Quick update….
Not sure if Bonneville will happen. Chassis is 90%, I have new B pillar and door header wood to install. Working on steering and shock set up at this time. 16. So awesome to see his coupe back out in the open air. Please keep the updates coming. Was the car black and white originally?

Great article and pictures. There surely was a pattern for 33/34 three window coupes for the salt back in the day.

Not sure of the date of this ad, but in 1965 dollars today you could buy Craig's car with the motor ,for a touch over $14,000.Seem like a good deal.
