Hot Rods Holley Carb metering plates numbers

I have an old 1850-2 Holley carb and I'm trying to get it cleaned up and useable. The problem is that it has the wrong Metering block so I'm looking for a correct one #134-128. This brings me to my problem, if the block has been changed, what about the metering plate for the secondaries? I know I need a 134-9 metering plate but Mine has a different number cast in it. I found a listing on e-bay for a plate but it does not have the 134-9 number on it either.
So either the seller does not have a 134-9 plate or the 134-9 plates have different numbers on them. Does anyone know if the part number is cast or stamped on these plates?

When I was 19 and working at Super Shops, I had an El Camino with an 1850 on top of the 327.

The metering plate on that carb had a number stamped in it, and our Holley catalog at work had different metering plates listed.

This was (holy crap!) nearly 30 years ago, so no idea how that translates to today's parts availability.

 

Metering plate numbers are stamped .

 

I did see a 6 stamped on the plate or if you hold it up side down it could be a 9. Since I need a 134-9 plate and mine has a 9 .... or a 6 stamped on it could it be right?
anyway I still need a 134-128 block, does anyone have one of them they would want to sell?

 

I found this info on the Holley plates.
well that did not come out very good, I don't know how to make it bigger, it shows what number is stamped on the plates and what size jet they are equal to. maybe someone could figure out how to make it bigger.

Scruffy, I have been talking with a guy that has 3 of these plates that came from 1850 carbs, all three of his are stamped #6 , mine is also stamped #6 what are the chances that our #6's are up side down 9's?
I guess the info I got from the 'net is correct, that I need the 134-9 plate.

 

I may have a metering block.

Ok so Saltflats has solved this problem. It turns out that the 1850-2 carb takes a 8584 metering block, I don't know where that 134-128 number came from. Holley started stamping both the carb List # and the block number at some point, he has one stamped 18502 and 8584. The 1850-3 uses metering block #10884.
Just wanted to spread what I found out, maybe it will help someone else at some point, and to say thanks to the HAMB for solving another problem.

 

This is good and timely information, I’m messing with a pair of 1850-2 Holleys right now for the cross ram I picked up. Luckily, mine have never been messed with. Thanks for posting this.

 

I have some metering plates in my old parts drawer I will never use. Pairs of 134-9, 134-10, 134-21, 134-12; A single134-11 and a pair of blank plates. As best I can check with drills they have not been molested, I do not have pin gauge set anymore. To drill the blanks you will need a jig, hi-speed mill or CNC.
