Here's how reality worked for me in the 60's. Started working on the yellow '37 sedan when I was 14yrs old, in
1962. Got my license in 1964 and traded for the orange '40 coupe. Could only afford chrome wheels on the rear
to start. Then I finally got 4 chrome wheels six months later. And finally a picture of how my hot rod progressed over
se pumpkin 1.jpg pumpkin 3.jpg pumpkin (2).jpg pumpkin 4.png veral years. Most of my hot rodder friends didn't have big bucks, so we couldn't just go out and buy
a load of parts. You learned to barter or bargain buy., which I think makes you a better, more appreciative
    hot rod guy.

I would call my Falcon 60’s style. I imagined if I was a teenager in the 60s, I would have been able to afford a Sprint but would have added ET/ American racing r-style wheels, 60s SW under dash gauges and a Monte Carlo bar. Also have some vintage 60s water slide decals on the windows and a Holman moody plate. Planning to upgrade the intake to a ftb or something else period if anyone else has a better idea…

  14. Perfect hot rod story! I'm here in Arkansas trying my best to live like it is 1962. Much love for everyone. Nick

This just might be my favorite tri five ever. I also know that there is a 71 chevelle in the background, this is just the oldest photo I can find. And this car had been raced a number of years prior to this photo. 2020-01-25_121814 (3).jpg

So this thread started 15 years ago and I probably posted a picture of my roadster way back but will do it again. I was looking at the late 50's early 60's East Coast style with channel and cycle fenders(which we MUST have legally). I had a Model A roadster when I was in my early 20's,channelled and cycle fenders also but 40 years later when I built the roadster I couldn't fit in a Model A with narrow doors. Opted for a body with lengthened doors and cabin. 2U3A6668 (Medium).jpg Roadster 3 (Medium).jpg

This was at this weekends Gene Winfield show. Was displayed with trophy's from 1962. Looks like it has been in storage for a long time.
Cant find any other info on it.
