Here's an odd one. R&R (Roof) head for Willys 4cyl. as used in midgets in the 40s.

I let a mint set go by at the LARS swap in '98 for $400 and bought a flathead Paxton setup instead. Turned out the blower had no impeller :/

was able to score these over the weekend, i had a pair of the L&S racing heads a few years back but sold them, didnt want to at the time but now ive got another set and the matching intake, there is so very little info about this stuff, D&S E&S and L&S are all related and i think the S in all of them were Ed Schneck but havnt figured out the D, E and L and am gonna dig more and see if i can find anything else out. There is a set of E&S racing heads that share the same casting as the Osiecki Racing heads and a few other names have been mentions as being the same casting but ive never seen this set cast with another name.

Here's a few progress pictures from I was building them, they are built to take the high cylinder pressures of nitro IMG_20171022_103451_321.jpg IMG_20180521_154603.jpg IMG_20180212_010818.jpg IMG_20171022_175622.jpg

@LOUIELOUIE very cool rare head how’s the chamber look.

@youngrodder1929 awesome job on the heads and on a nice Bridgeport. I plan on making a set of heads but a two piece design for cooling. Did you make the cutter for the chambers or modify one Any suggestions or tip in making them

That's sad on so many levels but thanks for letting me know. I was the short track starter the first time he attempted to run the streamliner and was gutted it didn't work out for him, especially given it was likely the last time he'd be able to actually drive it.

These are my SAE heads and matching Tattersfield’s. I’ve got the matching SAE 2x2 intake also but the blower replaced it…

Loudbang, those look to be the same Federal Mogul heads that sold at the route 32 auction in Iowa last fall. I believe the hammer price was $3300 for those heads. The same guy also has a pair of Smith heads on the same auction site that were also purchased at the route 32 auction. I really can't see anyone stepping up and buying these Federal Mogul heads at that price.

I agree, I feel more bang for the buck with the smith heads, you don't see them often the federal moguls are slowly becoming bellybuttons

My Federal Heads I bought with a 39M Mcculoch setup that have been all sitting since 1940. Did a quick mock-up for fun. Will be going in my 32 Roadster in the background.

Next time I run it I’ll video it. Good idea. We had it out last year at bowling green for the NHRA hot rod reunion DA61ABF2-0133-45C8-A421-2DC0AA7B9F04.jpeg
