Technical Gear Ratio Question

I have the 3:55 8.8s in all my (3) mustangs.....

 

very true. I have a 3:73 in my coupe with a 700r4-its just too much on the freeway. A 3:55 or less would have been better rev wise and mileage wise.

 

Unless you plan to go street light racing the 3.55 is a great gear.imo

 

Then there is the other side of the coin. I have 3.89's w/700r4 and wish I had put in 4.11's. With 28" rear tires, it's just fine on the freeway.
