  1. 20211009_200111.jpg Some among you knew I would start off with a '57 pic! This past weekend I happened to be in Minnesota. Looked up Mound, and it was 20 minutes away. Well, Mark responded to a pm and allowed me to invite myself over. Awesome truly applies here

Miss Elegance is the first car I met. What a beautiful hardtop, with Pontiac bumpers fore and aft. Vette grille, white upholstery and more custom touches than can be counted.

  2. Had to freak out over the Revell Deals Wheels '57. Operational blown 265, I want it!! 20211009_200100.jpg
It's called '57 cHEVY on the model box, and yes Mark has one of those, too!

  3. The Astorian custom '55 sedan is next. Never sat in a chopped tri 5 before. Canted quads, chrome everywhere, 3 deuces, some serious metal work on this car. 20211009_200135.jpg

The stunning '61 in its roost above a BBC powered speedboat wearing perfect original gel coat.

  5. 20211009_200155.jpg the Crosley powered trike. Never knew how much speed equipment was made for these engines. 20211009_200552.jpg
Plus, back in the secret laboratory is this 'lil guy. It's gonna be a shame to hide that pinstriping with upholstery, but I understand there's a good lady involved..

The 1961 Corvette gets driven the most. Fun little hot rod. His '40 Ford is a time capsule! Original 81 year old interior, classic hot rod all the way 20211009_201215.jpg

  8. Now, Mark doesn't have just one of anything. Display cabinets packed with speed equipment, Lee lenses, magnetos, models, and gauges. Did I say gauges? Wow! I accused him of being a gauge junkie. Ones I've never seen and many mounted in original speed shop displays. Boris Karloff in Frankenstein on the TV, vintage car magazines in racks, Zingers lined up, just amazing.

Gas powered pogo stick. The 60's were great

  11. Show rods! The Outlaw really pops with its green and white color scheme, love the plexiglass floor panel to see a chromed '39 transmission 20211009_202304.jpg

He must be a full time museum curator. (and cleaner and...)

  13. And the Futurian. Hand built by Mark from the vision in his head. Bubbletop, blown, it's over the top in every way! Now about those tail lights..... 20211009_201837.jpg 20211009_201814.jpg

An extraordinary outing indeed...a life experience in a time in Vintage Hotrod/Custom...did you drive the 57?...its been a premium fall so far here, hope it's the same your way...

Truly not your average suburban Bungalow but we are fortunate to have front row seats and know the man who has created the full on living trip down Ratfink alley...

  16. Many, many thanks to Mark for letting me come over, hope I didn't actually drool on anything. The entire place is neat as a pin. What an experience to see all of this on one place. Hot rods, show rods, mini bikes and models are the things I embraced as a kid in the early '70s. Mark's place is like a fantasy dream machine.

  17. Stogy - it's 1200 miles away from Gettysburg, we took a plane. Good thing it wasn't Southwest, those passengers are stranded!
