Technical Looking for Differential shop in L.A. Area

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by alteredpilot, Oct 11, 2021.

  1. I have a '53 Packard and a '69 Cadillac that both need differential work. The guy who does all my bench work won't leave a car sitting on his rack, so I'm kind of out of luck with him. Anyone know of a reputable differential repair shop in the LA/OC area that can service a rear axle from end to end?

    Thanks in advance.

I had Ramjet Rear End Repair install a 3:08 ring and pinion in my '55 Chevy axle in 2015. Located in San Fernando, Ca. 818-768-3824.
Last I heard was that Tom's moved to Idaho many years ago and Tom Watt had passed on in 2018.

J&S Gear in, I think, Huntington Beach. On Gothard anyway. John does lots of classic stuff, not just late model trucks.

Bill Thomas Enterprises in San Berdoo but you have to take the rear end to him. No R&R.

J&S does it all including brake swaps, narrowing, axles, etc. He did my 8.8.
