I used the Mac's halogen bulb conversion on my 36 Ford car headlights on my 36 Ford pickup. Easy to install and work fairly well.
don't put sealed beams behind factory lenses, it doubles the parabolic refraction... you can see great in front of you but not far away... [halogen is my vote]
Bob Drake use to make a special reflector for halogen conversions on 33/34 Fords but I see he no longer lists them...

You might check out Ron Francis Wire Works. They used to have something they called Brite (their spelling) bulbs that would go right into the the stock sockets of the reflectors. I am using them on my AVATAR and happy with them. They are 12 volts only but that is what I am running. Update. I couldn't find them under Ron Francis Wire Works but may have found them under Summit, https://www.summitracing.com/search...s/product-line/ron-francis-wiring-brite-bulbs. I am course and will phone them Monday. Charlie Stephens
There's a lot of controversy about LED headlight conversions. Some are better than others, and I understand that some of the others are very horrible indeed. I'm quite curious about what these guys' product is like: http://www.dynamoregulatorconversions.com/ http://www.dynamoregulatorconversions.com/a-bit-about-led-bulbs.php
