I love that "diver's helmet" pattern of taillights. The replicas of the British CAVs cost several body parts each, so I'm always looking for alternatives.

Thanks to a tip from fellow HAMB members I bought this pair two weeks before Hershey. No makers name could be found, ran them on eBay with no action so they were the even swap for the Cadillac lights. Bought for way less than the asking price on the Caddy lights. Hope the guy finds a home for them, we were both happy. Bob

Listed the fender bracket that I don't need, plan to make up two adaptor plates to mate the lights to early AR Forged light brackets. Finding conduit and the fittings for the sockets will be a nightmare I'm sure. Hank added another pair of reading glasses to his total. Life is good. DSCF9051.JPG

DSCF9053.JPG I corrected that, Hank is still in charge of eyeglass destruction. Frank was a friend that passed away a few years ago.

November first, start of another month, hope there is some progress in the next 30 days. Garage bay is a mess after the return from Hershey, free furniture, books, and whatever. Door top arrived in the mail today, cut a bit short in front but perfect for the drivers door. I need two more tops for the right side. It is going to look nice with 10 inch tall side windows with flat tops. DSCF9099.JPG

DSCF9289.JPG DSCF9294.JPG DSCF9301.JPG Picked up this directional light today, looks NOS. Think its value is in resale, need to box the Cadillac tail lights and put them somewhere safe and out of sight. Having them here on the desk is depressing since I have no idea how they will get wired, how to hide the wires, general wire BS.

Thanks, the attic window goes back in tomorrow, if it had heat I could spend more time out there. It is the storage area for future eBay stuff, listed stuff is in the warm basement. Once more shelving goes in the basement the winter work area will get cleaned & organized.

DSCF9338.JPG Picked up the nice AMT box yesterday, perfect for storing the Cadillac tail light. Out of sight out of mind, no electricity to worry about, back to the doors.

  16. Bob, why don't you feed the dog ? That way he won't be hungry enough to chew on your glasses.

He's a 55 pound bag of cement with legs, he also thinks he is a lap dog.

Good point, they would be the first pair of tail lights I ever put on one of my cars, hope the grandkids know how to wire them.;)

DSCF9474.JPG Installing shelving in all the open space, neat and organized basement is the goal. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Dad would be 106 today, he bought this '35 Ford new when he was 19 years old, I think about him every day.

Nice Italian bodied '32, posted to show the matching windshield and hood louver taper. Green is a nice color too.

Happy New Year! Hope everyone is well, I'm moving stuff around in the never ending attempt of getting organized.. Sold an 1858 sausage stuffer and some books today so 2022 is getting off to a great start.

  25. I think there are VERY few people who can say that they sold their sausage stuffer to fund their build, Bob "D

Happy New Year!!! Was up near Albany, NY picking up a Fast Four rear axle last week (possibly a better gear ratio for the Victory Six)... should have let you know!

The Bentley Blue Train, I like the look of the angled louvers, and fenders. Sixteen days into the new year and I still haven't done anything but post this old photo. 271859768_4752156924822275_3426958168950814466_n.jpg

Tom Davison photo from the 2022 GNRS, yes, it is a 1932 Ford. With all the thousands of '32 chassis out there why does this one sit just perfectly? That is the tire and wheel setup I'll be using.

Might move some stuff around tomorrow in the ongoing search for crap to sell, still no motivation to actually work on the doors.

DSCF8519.JPG The Drivers Door made it from the garage to the basement, that is a good thing, lot warmer down there. Adding that Tudor top with the flat glass edge isn't going to be that simple, the door has a curve that I never noticed before. It is a nice solid door to work with. Not a cut and replace deal like the back door. [IMG]

Bob's Books, got the first addition for 2022. Cherry picked 32 yesterday and went back today for the "What do you want for the room of books" deal. Now it is time to make room in the garage. DSCF8623.JPG DSCF8619.JPG DSCF8628.JPG
