Technical Engine block colour

Can anyone tell me if the shade of green on my A roadster engine block was a standard Ford colour at any time?

Dark green would be the factory color. Not sure but the color on yours resembles Chrysler turquoise.

 

It does look like Chrysler turquoise which is tough to come by theses days, however Detroit diesel green is almost an exact match and readily available.

 

I seem to recall Jasper using a similar color on their rebuilt engines and short blocks. Or maybe some other re-builder . . .. ?

Four Star came that color.

 

Early Pontiacs had a similar color, the later ones were more of a metallic color.

Short answer, no.

 

What ever happened to Four Star? I haven’t thought of them in 20 years.

 

How about some more shots of that roadster, especially of the engine with a little better lighting?

Looks just like the colour used on the Meteor of '56.
