Hot Rods Scammer alert

Just received a buyer for the 30 chevy coupe . Odd emails, so I googled his address . J.albert001@hotmail is a scammer going through these classified. Be alert do not deposit the check .

They sure do use hotmail, a lot.

 

I dont know his name on here , my email was in the add and he contacted me that way .

 

I had one a while back, not here, but i guess they got my info from somewhere. Bunch of "too good to be true" stuff. Fortunately 2 of my best friends that hang around the shop are state troopers, one is a sergeant. He told me what the deal was. They'll send you a check that's bogus. You'll find that out when you try to deposit it. When you tell them about the check being no good, they ask for your bank info so they can direct deposit the money in your account. If you're dumb enough to give them the info, they'll clean you out.

Lesson learned and I removed my email address. Better late than never .

 

Hotmail is still around!?

I've an account I haven't checked since 1999, probably full of Spam by now. Wonder if I have the password written down somewhere.

 

I still use hotmail since a long time, but I'm not a scammer!
