Dad and I are here at Rock Falls with the Dodge. If we had co pilots for the 6 hour drive we would have brought the Valiant too. The turnout here looks real good so far.
Some buddies and I spent a couple days following Drag Week at Indy and Byron, then hit the road for home via Rock Falls Raceway for both days of Fall Out #6. Finished the week dog-tired and broke but it was an absolute blast! A few shots from the staging lanes: More to come.....
Some trackside shots: Showtime with the "Panty Dropper"... Hard to tell through the tire smoke but I think the Anglia on the right is "Tub & Squirt" getting a wee bit sideways. This injected SBC rail runs out of the Mpls-St. Paul MN area. And they did some flag starts too, for the cars running pie crust slicks... I'll find a few more pics....
These cars were part of Saturday afternoon's Cacklefest next to the car show area. They were planning an evening edition too that I would have loved to have seen, but we were back on the road by then. THEEE one and only "Gizzlehopper"!
