Sorry it took so long to respond. My 19 year old son bought a project and it has taken up the rest of my shop, so no my plans for paint this winter came and went.

So I’m off to another project, a 26 T roadster. I picked up a T chassis that I will use. I disassembled it this morning and thought man I wish I would have had this good of a frame to start with when I started the single seater! It is a T chassis for sure, but I'd guess around 1919, maybe earlier if the battery box was added later. I can see the three rivet holes for each running board bracket. Looking forward to watching the build. Bob

Just noticed the running board brackets in front of the garage door.

Yes it is an early chassis but the rails will be used to make length on the 26 chassis. Dimensions look to be the same as the newer chassis.

Was there was any doubt about it being a T chassis? Why could you not just use this chassis for the 26 as it was, instead of taking them both into pieces?
Whatever , looking forward to the 26 project build thread.

This is my build, I have a plan and it involves cutting two chassis to make one. If I could “just use the chassis as it was” I would certainly do that.
Both of these frames were rusting away out in fields and now they will be put together as one and back on the road.

So the car still isn’t painted but I drive the wheels off of it every chance I get. I’ve never carried any tools with me and I’ve been lucky I haven’t needed any to date. I always said I would make a tool roll and store it under the seat but this last Saturday I went to our annual steam and gas threshing bee. I found this kool Fordson tractor tool box. The only place I could mount it was on my steering box mount. I’ll get it cleaned up and painted this winter. Looks good, I thought you were gonna use the ol international harvester box you got. Was it too rough to use?

I had all but one 90 degree bend and some cut to fit exhaust gasket. I think it cost me $30 to split it.
