Is there a 9.25" clutch disc available for a GM standard transmission with a 10 spline, 1 1/8" diameter input shaft?
I can;t name an application off top of my head. But if you talk to a clutch rebuilder, they can make up (just about) any combination you need.
Early Chevy's will work. They are 9" discs. Chev's of the 40's have them, as well as others. They show part number 384750. Can try other years. from '37 to '49 for Chevy sixes.
I'm about to get a 9 1/8" Chevy clutch re-lined to 9 1/2". There is no difference between the hub of a 9 1/8" plate and a 10", just the lining material. The 9 1/8" plate would work for your application. It's the standard plate for early 50's Chevy 6 cylinders.
1965 Chevy pickup 250 cube inline 6 engine with a 3 speed manual trans ,has a 9.25 x 10 spline clutch plate .
I don't think that a Jeep C J disk will do it. According to this summit link the shaft diameter is too small . Crown Automotive 921977 Crown Automotive Clutch Discs | Summit Racing According to Novak those Jeeps have a 15/16 x 10 spline. The Novak Guide to the Borg-Warner T90 Transmission (novak-adapt.com) You may end up going with a nine inch or 9-1/8 inch disk.
That swap has been times over in this area and I am thinking that they use the Chevy pressure plate and Jeep disk. If I am not mistaken there are 10 and 11 inch disks that fit that spline but most guys who do the swap put in a stronger trans.
They exist for sure. This new one from my stash. Fits 228-248 GMC 6. Chevrolets of the 40’s list them.
