I removed the zingers even though there is not a single vw part used in their construction. I had it with all the name calling and bitching

Not really jealousy I can’t remember for sure if it was him but I think he’s upset because he had posted some horrendous ugly piece of crap that had some sort of helmet thing on it.
It was deleted as was appropriate.

As far as I’m concerned the zingers and everything else Mark owns is totally appropriate for the forum.

  8. A neighbor of mine continued to call my coupe a little toy untill I took him for a ride. He then said SH%T!! This thing is serious! I laughed and said you have just experienced a vulgar display of power.;):):D Oh yea. In a little toy.:p

The angle of these drone photos of my Chrysler kinda make it look like a toy.

  14. Often when I see really clean restorations of old 4x4 trucks like swept line Dodges or NAPCO Chevys I think they look like old Ertl-type toys but never share that with the owners for fear of misunderstanding.

If it looks like a toy, you did it right.

We pontificate over hot rods that look like models and muse over models that look like real hot rods.
Naw, we don't like this stuff.

A lot of it has to do with the angle of the photo

I love this thing, but I have sat in one, and I do not know where you put your legs! (BTW, I own a Bantam Riviera.)

  22. My Willys is a total cartoon. My dream 60 years ago was to drive a Gasser. Bought it in '64, finished it (mostly) in '95 has been on-again/off-again daily driver since. Never been on a race track.

I may be late to the party but I'm watching a rerun episode of American Pickers on TV, and they're at the house of a fellow I think in New Jersey who has several Zingers like Moriarity's cars - a VW, a dune buggy and a rail. They aren't talking about them (they're just in the background of the scene) so I don't know the story about them.
