    Hey guys, some good news,
I pulled the cab of a 33 pickup out from under a tree on the far side of a creek this Saturday
It was 4 inches deep in the dirt, but it surprisingly solid

the property it was on was a ranch, that unfortunately the last of the original family just passed and it was going to be auctioned off to the nearest winery (Napa problems). This would’ve been scrapped.

still had the key in it

  2. Nice save. Love those trucks. I had the Rocky 33 for a few months, years ago.

Great save, looks decent (I assume you got permission to take it) Glad it's not getting scrapped.

  11. Thats in great condition. Wish mine were that solid when I got it. These trucks are the best looking old trucks out there.

The property and everything on it was donated to a local college foundation, and a buddy of mine and fellow hot rodder works, he found it while walking around the place, made some calls and it was out for the taking

And we aren’t related, unfortunately haha

It was on donated land and ours if we wanted it, admittedly there was talk of running off with it either way

I have a spare chassis, a 331 Hemi and a 4 speed. And my buddy who I pulled it with has a spare olds 324 and the matching trans. The idea right now is to put something together from all that, haven’t nailed down the specifics

And you can't beat the price.........unless you count sweat equity! I vote for a set of mounts for each engine, just in case you can't decide, please share.

The keys are in it, so that's a good start (pun intended). Great save! Please keep us posted as your project comes together!

Great save! I'm sure it ran when it was parked. I am starting a '34 p.u. with a hemi. Also my grand parents had a ranch in Napa and Christian Bros. winery owns it now. Post your progress.
