Well problems for my Corvette. I need to pull the engine and rebuild it. I have lost compression in a few of the cylinders.
    :( SAD DAYS INDEED :(

so if anyone has a set of 327 pistons that are forged and .30 over all donations are greatly appreciated :) .
Keep in mind it won’t be a race engine.;)

  6. Enloe - sorry, man. I feel your pain, the 57's engine is out with a spun bearing. Better days ahead.

Enloe, that's a bitch to read. I hope you can get things back together
sooner than later and at a cost that won't weigh down on your shoulders.
I always get a kick out out of your photos. You, my friend, are not afraid
to drive that car. Good luck.

I saw your corvette at Chesterton last Saturday. It sure looks great. Not that I would know you. May be next time we'll meet up.

That was a nice cruise in except when some fool thought it was a good idea to open the door on my car and poke around inside. Then when i was talking to him someone else in his group opened the trunk! Do you ever go to the Westville cruise? Rt6 & rt421.

what would something like that cost?
I have toyed with the idea of putting a "temp engine" in for a while until I could get it rebuilt and then put the " temp engine" in the wagon.

I haven't been to Westville yet heard good things about it. I don't under stand how someone could do that to anyone's car. Just like opening their front door to there house and walking in to their house. Just look at my tag line. Hope to meet you some where.

Yep, they were every day transportation back in the day so in some parts of the country snow tires were appropriate.

rumblegutz. Couldn't have said it better. Back then they weren't something that was put on a pedestal. I used mine every day of the week, 365 days a year. I have to ask, is rumblegutz a take on the old Austin gasser Old Rumble Guts?

You are correct that some of us drove Corvettes in the winter. I had a 73 I bought in 78 and drove it in the winter in snow and whatever. I tried snow tires for a while but did not like the look. I did keep a briefcase full of barbell weights in the back to give me a bit more traction. Not sure how much it helped. Car was originally a lemon but actually got a handle on it and put a ton of miles on it. Constantly took it to what we called the quarter car wash and kept the car up. Sold it with 180,000 miles with the original leather interior in still really nice shape. Nice car overall.

I have a paper (real) photograph of that car. note that it has a hinged top, looks like you have to tip the roof to get in as the side windows and windshield are one piece
