I've looked and can't find the information anywhere. What time are they going to start Thursday morning at Byron?

I thought you were stripping paint. You got a twin?

  22. The 'Milk Truck" is quickly becoming my favorite. It puts on a show for such a tank!

  23. No I'm just that fast man! I'm like FLASH! (Watched the live stream on motortrend lol)

  24. Just want to take a second to put Squirrel's accomplishment in perspective. Years ago I bought a 1984 Kawasaki KZ1100R motorcycle. This was not a touring machine :) I took it to the local strip (stock) and went 11.60. I then added a header, Mikuni carbs, a Wiseco "big block kit" (block and pistons) 1260cc (I think), and had the head professionally ported and polished. I went 10.70. Keep in mind this is a bike with minimal weight to it. It ended up being an unreliable pile of crap that I sold for peanuts after I tired of it.
Squirrel is running QUICKER than I did on my bike, is doing it in a full-bodied car and DROVE it all the way from Arizona.
My hat is off to you sir ... very well done :)

Edit: Poor wording on my part. I stated "I then added" is not exactly correct, I bought the parts but the engine was professionally assembled and I failed to mention the cams were changed and hotter coils were also acquired. With assembly by Raceworks Canada (at one time owner/operator of the fastest drag bike in Canada ... a nitro bike), and porting/polishing by Leitner and Bush, my bike was built with the best parts (at that time) by people in the know. I spent a lot of money, went less than a full second faster and turned it into an unreliable turd.

  25. He does tend to make this stuff look easy which all should know is not and only a select few achieve. I hope I get to the track early enough tomorrow to have a chance to say hi.

I understand the computer system was messed up and Freiburger really did not have correct info.
But when he said Tom Bailey was driving Jim Forbes car ... wtf?
He corrected it but sure had me thinking.

Just takes confidence in what you build. And spending moneys with time off helps also.

I agree, but ya gotta admit that it feels like Jim is 16, heading across country to race.
That’s the appeal for me. Dual carbed blown BBC, all “old school “.
Well, other than what I think was a GPS on the dash;).
