Me and my buddy was out on the Kansas/Oklahoma 100 mile yard sale today and I score a 5w coupe and a 59A flattie. The flattie we saw in a guys truck bed driving down the road and asked him to pull over. He got it at a farm auction and was taking it home, it has chrome acorn nuts, fan and oil filter along with a 39 trans on it. Grabbed it and then went to look at the 5w and grabbed it too, it’s an old drag car I suppose it had a Pontiac motor in it at some point based on the tag. Looking forward to getting it in the shop to start on it.

Dash had a cool old isky tag on it!

  9. Good job keeping your eyes open and being willing to go the extra 10 yards. It certainly paid off. Congrats!

That flathead looks like it was in a 34 car with that rear motor mount and short fan. 24 stud with a nice
crab distributor. That was a score too....

One '34 to another, very exciting stuff. This causes me to recall finding and driving mine
home in 1995 in the worst rainstorm I have ever seen in Seattle in 56 years. Parked it in my shop,
drip dry while I started going through 1400 Rod n Custom, Car Craft, Hot Rod mags. I know
the feeling of finding these treasures and building it the way you want it. Here's wishing you the very best of everything in your up coming adventure.:):):)

Thanks fellas! I’m on cloud 9 at the moment!

Plan to install the 324 olds/6x2 and Muncie trans in it and possibly a heavy chop later!

55 chevy I believe, unsure if it's the one it ran as a gasser. But it might stay, unsure at the moment because of wheel/tire options I have.

Great score well done .it seems crazy when this guy says he had known about the coupe 40 years and finally gets it . Then sells it. You did well .

If the guy who cut those holes in the lower cowl knew what those cars were gonna be worth some day, do you think he still would have done it?

    Yea, probably.

Awesome little car, don't forget to start a build thread.
