found this snap I made last April.
It's rusty, but it's mine, makes me bleed when I bust my knuckles on it and I enjoy driving it.

Finally picked up a HAMB-worthy vehicle with some deployment money.

'64 shortbed, '90s 350 crate, 3spd column shift out of a '68 Firebird, brand new suspension, steering, and front power disc brake conversion, new carpet, insulation, rebuilt seat. Mechanically sound with some rust in the usual spots buried under bondo but mostly straight and clean Texas truck.

Stumbled on it while craigslist browsing due to boredom. I've wanted one for a long time and didn't plan on getting one til maybe next year but I fell in love immediately. Really wanted a good platform that was mechanically sound to customize and build a nasty motor for. Already ordered a Vintage Air kit (this is Texas, after all) and am planning an engine build as I speak. Also planning on chroming the front grille and bumper.

    Nice truck! Enjoy your build.
Vintage Air works good, but building in those air hoses can drive you crazy.

New to me she isn’t pretty but she drives nice. 350 crate motor, need to do some things to her but runs and drives great!!! Love the patina look and I’m happy!!

Looks sick! Is that all static drop? You don't happen to know what front springs are on there do you?

Thanks the previous owner did it and it’s the grand slam kit from classic performance products.

A couple from a local show this weekend. The gold one has some artful patch work.
I've seen that truck around quite a bit in the past year or two. The little guy in the back had a few too many sharp edges to carry a rug rat around on it.
I hadn't seen the blue green one before and it looked like it was pretty fresh out of the shop. IMG_1255 (2).JPG IMG_1254 (2).JPG IMG_1356 (2).JPG IMG_1358 (2).JPG

I bought this 1965 C-10 short/step side back in March, 350 Good Wrench engine, turbo 350 trans. Excellent body, great patina. 5-14-21.jpg

My favorite patina and paint color combination.
Cool service truck, I posted one like this way back, could be the same one.

    Roger that!
I'm a bit opinionated as to what constitutes "patina" but there is something about this service truck that I dig, I especially like this factory green with some tasteful rust showing.

I've seen that truck (or it's evil twin) in Vancouver, WA at a cruise in a couple years ago. LS powered.

Saw this one last weekend in Waxahachie TX. They hold a show for only C10s I heard around 1,000 entries. The 64 Olds belongs to my buddy. 20210918_192011.jpg

Couple more from the streets after the show. Mostly OT big wheel LS powered stuff for here but anyone who enjoys these trucks I'd recommend checking the show out. There's all styles represented.
