IMG_5593.JPG IMG_5594.JPG Did some upgrades on my engine, which included dumping the cross-ram intake; this left me the option of where my breathers could go.
opinions...any upside or downside; or is it just whatever one thinks looks best?

I'm going to say that the correct way is on the top side. Running breathers and no PCV or road draft tube is a great way to create oil leaks though. That is if you don't have a setup to draw the air in, though and out.

I like this;). Inside looks cleaner, but outside kinda shows them off a bit.
Hope I have confused you a tad more!

  4. Top gets my vote. Seems like on the bottom is just asking for oil on the headers!

I ran a setup like that on my T bucket back in my young and not near as smart as I thought I was days and Then put that engine in my 48 and fought oil leaks until I did some major changes venting wise.

I know people have run them both ways without issues but a properly functioning PCV system is important.

My thinking when I done mine was that oil would have a harder time running uphill so I mounted mine on the top. 0027F7F7-ACE0-474B-AC30-E5E7D65F1D6E.jpeg

I am liking them on top for the simple reason, there is more room in a somewhat small engine compartment; but always ready for some comments.

On top if you are going to use functional & Make sue no lip for oil to set, that will eliminate oil leak .

I agree, even with breathers I'd still want some sort of auxiliary PVC system...perhaps run it off the dipstick tube.
