Technical trw piston

  1. looking for info on TRW L2327 .060 pistons . what the ring thicknessses and do you knoe the application ...383 ?

    1/16 ring thickness 350 pistons... Use a stock 400 rod and crank... Pistons need to be notched for skirt clearance from the crank throws...

  5. i bought a engine for a boat and got the block rods and pistons ..no crank ....can i tell if they are 6 inch rods ?

    Are there 2 grooves in the wrist pin bores???... One on each end????

    Then yep! The pistons are set up for floaters.....

    yes, you can use the pistons with press fit rods.

    Are the pins dry, or do they have some oil on them?

    You would have to get your connecting rods bushed for full floating pistons. Not a bad idea to it, most any engine rebuild machine shop should be able to to that. It sure makes assemble much easier.

  18. piston and rods are together already .....its only a boat motor or i would deffinetly float them ...thank you
