I've met and talked to Chris at the Bell road car show and wondered why his voice sounded so familiar, then I figured it out. Nice to see you here and will definitely be watching for more videos as they come out.

Just found a couple ads in old posts by H.A.M.B.er dad-bud from the now defunct "vintage shots from days gone by" thread for the Kaecker Rocker Arm Conversion Co. Mentioned back in post #651 of this thread.

And here's a brief cruise through downtown Phoenix in the early 60s? Found the address for Phoenix Ignition Co. at 625 E Jefferson and it appears to be long gone. At the beginning you can also see Read Mullan Ford at 28 E Van Buren, not the same location from post #730 as that was their used car lot at 239 E Van Buren.

Looks like Phoenixmike58 and gang put three more Arizona Drag Racing Legends interviews up on YouTube. Hope I'm not stepping on any toes linking to them here. Couple of the names are responsible for two of the main drag strips in the area. Wish we could have added Mel Larson too but we lost him back in 2016.

Again not on Facebook. I know, I'm a caveman, but stumbled on another good page by googling for the rest of you to check out if you haven't already seen it. There was a site by the name a while back that seems to have gone away at some point.

Just bought a scanner and will have a few new things to post on here later. These slides came from Ebay and according to the seller are supposed to be from the area. Probably early 60s. Anybody recognize the car?

Here's some other slides I think I got from Ebay. One slide has June '61 written on it and all appear to be taken at Phoenix Drag Strip on the Luke Aux. Airfield #3 where racing resumed after the Air Force ended events at Perryville and before the Phoenix Dragway/Speedworld track was built.

Yep. Looks like Olds power and pretty polished for a drag car.

Here's another set of pics I bought a while back. Pretty sure these are stock cars and midgets at the Arizona State Fairgrounds in the early 50s.

The last three came with the bunch but don't think they are the Fairgrounds, possibly not even AZ.

Think that one has an Allison. The one in the slide is a jet.

Found one more KRIZ Boss Line newspaper from Jan. 21, 1966 with a Drag Jazz column by Ray Agee. Two others can be found in posts #837 and 842. This one even had an ad for Valley Speed Center.
