Technical 49 Chevy link pin help

I've noticed a noise from my 49 front left wheel area and I thought it was the bearing going bad. I got under it today and this is what I found. Is the correct term for this upper link pin and does the wear look excessive or will it be fine just replacing the link pin and bushings? Thanks

 

Looks like the outer cap on that pin backed out and fell off. Has the inner part of the pin been hitting the threads in the A frame? If you're concerned that the threads in the A frame look worn or shallow they weren't very "deep" to begin with, they should match the threads on the new end cap.

The threads still look good but I'd rather replace the whole pin.

 

Be easier to find the whole part than just a piece.

 

That link to chevs of the fortys looks like the whole part you need.

 

Yes it is the whole part. Any thing I need to know before replacing it or is it a easy repair?
