I'd say that if you plan on going book a room now. Don't wait until you register for the event.

I tried to book a room today and most of the hotels won’t allow booking that far out

  7. Many hotels don't book rooms more than a year in advance. After July 20, most should have the event dates open to rent.

I didn't think of that issue. My wife wanted the same hotel that we were in last time so I guess I will wait a few days and try again.

Book Airbnb or VRBO! Cheaper, better options and you can book a year ahead no problem. Booked mine a few weeks ago on the rumour the show was gonna happen. Right behind the Empress in a 1 bedroom condo with secure under ground parking. @Deucedreamer this is not a hard concept... :D

Hey fellow HAMBer's in the great western part of Canada and the States. I'm planning for Deuce Days and I'm wondering If anybody can recommend a campground close to Victoria. It won't be a big-ass motorhome, but rather a teardrop trailer and possibly an O/T camper van.
Two that I saw listed are the Goldstream Campground and Cedar Springs Ranch.
Any suggestions or Info would help.

I heard anyone from Yakima Valley has to write a knowledge test about Canada and pass with 95% or you don't get to come next year... :p

I passed that last time when I got off the ferry at Sidney. Getting into Canada was the easy part, getting back into the states at Anacortes on Monday evening was the pain in the butt.

I managed to register at about 08:25 and now I had better get my Butt in gear and get the 48 on the road. Or win the powerball and buy my buddy's brother's 32 that already has a Hamb tag on it.

Rick Bales & I just registered thanks to you. We have booked our rooms again at James Bay Inn, super small with restaurant in basement. Only 3 blocks from show.

    Thank you very much, Bob

We have a room at the James Bay Inn too. The place we stayed last time didn't have anything available. Plus you had to pay to park in a parking garage 4 blocks away. Great room real close to the bars and food places a couple of blocks up from the harbor on Govt street though.

Registered today as well, kind of wish my 55 was a little older as I could bust ass and finish it, then take the whole family out there to enjoy the weekend. Guess the model A will have to do.

Well despite having plenty of difficulty trying to register at the JBInn I got the last room this morning. Tried off and on for a couple of weeks and it was always busy! Friday through Sunday. I guess I'm going to finally bump into the (in)famous Mr.48 Chevy (LOL) and Fittness guy...

Now even though I thought I'd have my '32 roadworthy by then it may be a bit of a stretch.

I screwed up and got #321, should have waited 6 more so I could match my engine, probably would have gave me better luck than last time out there.

depends on the site you go with, northwestdeucedays.com kept coming up with security risks for me. I used https://www.tourismvictoria.com/deuce-days instead.
