History Identify this grille shell It has been identified

    1916 or 17 PAIGE I picked this up at a swap meet and would like to know more about it. Is it factory for a low production or little known car, is it early track car. Looks similar to a 20's miller race car. It is brass/copper and well built. Who ever built it was a skilled craftsman. It is 22" wide and 22 1/2" tall and 8" from the rear edge to the peak in front. Any help would be appreciated.

    The radiator would be pointed at the top, strange.

    Looks like early dirt track racer to me.

    I dint know what it is, but i had one once. Got it out of a wrecking yard, put it on a 1920s dodge that i made a t bucket out of.

    I have that shell and rad. with original honeycomb V shape. Was told its from a 1920's Mercedes race car. Its now on a Packard race car- You can make a radiator for it by cutting a larger one down the center- then V it. To have one made from scratch is big bucks. Good luck

    This is a picture of a early 20's Miller race car. Looks similar to the shell I have.

  16. I can't identify it, but it and all the other radiator shells posted are pretty damn cool!!!

    It has been Identified. It is 1916 or 1917 Paige automobile. Thank you to all that responded.
