My search queries have not produced info on this question. I do not have scales; trying to find front to rear weight distribution for a 1930 ford coupe. Ideally, I would like to find corner weight info. Any info is greatly appreciated.
I had to determine corner weights when I set up my rear coilovers. Took the roadster to a local circle-track shop and they scaled it for me ...
I should have thought about this a few weeks ago. The car is currently on jacks stands, front suspension removed.
Stock or hot rod? Help us help you. -If it's stock numbers you want, you're likely to get an answer on www.fordbarn.com . Here's a start: MAFCA - Weights Weight specifications for my 1930 Model A Tudor - The Ford Barn If it's a hot rod, there are lots of variables- engine weight, fenders or highboy, battery location, A/C, gutted interior, yada, yada, yada. That said, most street-going A coupes are probably around 2400-2800# and probably have ~60/40 front/rear distribution and equal on each side. If you're trying to determine coilover spring rates, several manufacturers (e.g. QA-1, etc) have calculators on their websites.
Stock Model A coupes are listed at 2250#. QA1 shock estimate a street rod with sbc, auto, etc at 1300 front and 1400 rear.
31 A Coupe, fenderless, all steel, 3/16 steel square tube frame, 348 Chevy (say 650-700 lbs), 700R4, Ford 9 inch. 1450 lbs front, 1600 lbs rear with me in it. No corner weights though -sorry. … and now I see your avatar is a stock A. John
