Shot some bits at dragstalgia this year, I know nothing about drag racing at all- spotted this car and fell in love. The crew were a good laugh whilst I was taking some photos, asked if I could follow them through to film prep and fire up, amazingly they said yes- so this is the outcome of that. It was my second time "out" in full kit wanker style with the camera gear. Not used to trying to photo or video moving things, lumps of metal around the workshop sit nice and still whilst I faff about. Looking forward to getting to some more events, trying some more stuff out. Already have a couple video opps in the pipe line too, so hoping to learn and improve. All feedback welcome, constructive criticism would be ideal. some stills from the day too 10 by joe curtis, on Flickr 11 by joe curtis, on Flickr 12 by joe curtis, on Flickr 8 by joe curtis, on Flickr 13 by joe curtis, on Flickr 17 by joe curtis, on Flickr 18 by joe curtis, on Flickr 19 by joe curtis, on Flickr 20 by joe curtis, on Flickr 21 by joe curtis, on Flickr 22 by joe curtis, on Flickr
Hell yeah!!! If I had a complaint, it would be I just want more. Yes, you did an outstanding job with both video and stills.
Thanks for the feedback guys, sadly the car didn’t make a pass so I didn’t get to film a run. Would have been the icing on the cake that. yeh I heard, massive shame. Do you know what happened? I assume the driver got out ok?
Wow that must have been a scary moment for sure! I must have just shot the car before it ran and crashed. Was it at dragstalgia or an even shortly following?
