Just one request / suggestion. I'd like to see a "thumbs down" icon
added next to the "like". I want to show my displeasure with the
nonsensical, intentional wiseass and incomprehensible comments
    that inevitably appear.

As an aside, years ago I picked up a book titled "Leslie's 20,000 Words",
a handy little guide to finding correct spelling. I take pride in my
spelling abilities but I still find myself using that book, often just to
    double check myself.

Isn't there enough negativity in the world? I use the like often but I don't know if I would use the dislike other than this post ;)

  5. You don't need an icon to voice your opinion, you're free to verbalize displeasure around here.

  6. How about a “Moderately Upset Non-confrontational” button. The I’m not liking this but I don’t feel like having a verbal battle on the net right now icon. :)

  7. I get what you're saying my brother, but i have noticed that it's usually the other way around.... verbal internet battles are much safer confrontations than an in-person confrontation. Therefore one's internet nut sack is larger than their actual nut sack... ;):D

How about let's just get back to Traditional Hot Rods and Custom Cars and Trucks.

    This isn't Facebook.

  9. I’m with ya! I was just having a little fun and showing the absurdity of a new icon. How about a Get Off My Lawn button? :)
Edit: Whoops, didn’t see the above post.

haha, that is another way of saying what I have always said. "The internet sucks because most people sitting at a keyboard will say things they don't have the guts to say to you in person"

  16. Before this thread gets locked, If you find fault in a thread and want to show your displeasure you have the option to report it to the moderators, if they feel the same way "POOF" it will disappear.

As for spelling, I do my best but sometimes I make mistakes getting in a hurry and I pretty sure I'm not the only one, fortunately there is a spell checker if you take the time to use it. IMHO content far outweighs a mans ability to win a spelling bee, the hamb has many levels of education and not to mention guy living in country's were English is not their native tongue.

Just enjoy what the hamb has to offer and focus on the hot rods & customs. HRP

Yes, and what does that do other than upset people?

  22. And you think hitting a dislike button is different how? Just say what you want to say.

Do you really want real honesty on this site? I'm loaded with it, but I'd just as soon
have people think about what they write...before they write it. For the people I
might have been addressing my comment towards, some things are better left unsaid.
An idea or thought about someone's car is one thing, ripping on it is another.
Mr. Moriarity, it seems you take a pic of your vette and post every time you go
out for a burger or milk shake. We've seen it and we've seen it again. The car
doesn't change, neither does the restaurant. It's a good looking car, maybe show it
with a more interesting backdrop, like the dry cleaner's.

As far as grammar goes, there's nothing wrong with doing things the right way. We
were sent to school for a reason. Occasionally a post is written so ridiculously that
it's damn near impossible to fathom (or "understand"). Of course, those in other
countries may get tripped up on their English. For us here in the States a dictionary
    and Google are quite
helpful in getting our English spelling correct. I won't even get
started on punctuation, that's a hopeless cause. Ah, "FUCK". I use it daily, all the time,
if I see a car that knocks me out or if some fucking moron pisses me off. I see no reason
to use the word in writing a comment about hot rods, tattoos or anything else when
there are people who are sensitive about swear words in the mix, of which I'm not.

Someone mentioned negativity. Brother, you got that right. I made two comments
in one post and you guys dropped the negativity bomb on me. Not very openminded.

Your comments are sometimes less than appropriate and you're not
nearly as amusing as you might think. Now, are you going to reconsider
what you write? I didn't think so.

    Fire away, people, I'm finished.

  25. Awwww that's the nicest thing anybody has ever said to me.

You have busted my balls before about me posting my corvette too much. I am merely trying to show that I use it. And I don’t give a fuck what you think about it. By the way, my original comment was in no way directed at you...

  30. I am not a fan of emojis.
I’m a little more amenable to memes. But, in my view, they both add to the fuck you hit and run quality of the internet. You know, they are like flipping someone off and driving away. Satisfying, but not in any way a contribution to building a society or group.
They do not foster constructive conversation.
