    Speaking of TV repair, does anyone else remember those tube testing machines in grocery stores?
    Take all the tubes to the tube tester, then hope they have the one need.

    Oh yeah. My dad wasn’t one to get his hands dirty. I remember back in grade school taking the back of the TV off, pulling and labeling the tubes, then taking them to Radio Shack to test and buy new ones. My mom would wonder why dad didn’t know how to do that.

    This T is built in the unmistakable Ted Brown Chassis style. A little after the HAMB cutoff but still, a great look.

    Long before my employment at Electro- Motive this was an ill-conceived lightweight design. Not many were built, and it was said the locomotive and cars rode like a buckboard.
