Thanks for the pics and ride. I find so many nice cars over there that HAMBers post. Truly a zeal for the cars. Are there many early cars/hot rods 20s/30s?

Is this the ‘really big’ show I’ve heard about?

Thanks for posting the pictures! I too am Swedish but never been there. I tried in 2020 but COVID canceled it. When I plan another trip I hope to hit this show or another one. When I was a child I heard my grandparents talk about Dalsland, Bohuslan and Munkedal. In 1949 my grandparents and father traveled to Sweden for a month, they brought a brand new 1949 Chevy with them on the boat. They left it in Sweden. I always look at these pictures of car shows in Sweden and look for a 1949 Chevy. Maybe it lived and is still running in Sweden:D
Anyways thanks again for taking time to post this thread!

One of my uncles owned this model in 'triple silver', IIRC, a silver vinyl top, silver paint and of course silver leather interior, incredible cars!!!

Sorry, it was 60 years ago! I do remember opening up the rear door and
the smell of that leather and the ride of that car was incredible!

Although, it is a rough comparison as my dad's car at the time was a 50 Plymouth two door with a rusted out floor on the rear passenger side. My sister and I disposed of candy wrappers at least once and my grandfather had his rubber overshoe removed by that hole one wintry day bringing him home from church.

There is "some" difference in a Plymouth and an Imperial! Skärmavbild 2021-08-28 kl. 12.49.47.png Skärmavbild 2021-08-28 kl. 12.47.56.png

  29. Hansen,
Those are some of the most beautiful examples of old American cars ,,,Thank you .
They seem immaculate,,,,,,well cared for and I’m sure treasured by the owners .
They are from an era when high end American cars were built big,,,,heavy ,,,,and chromed to the max .
Gorgeous,,,,,and taken care of in Sweden,,,,I would have enjoyed seeing more pics of those .
    Great job !

    Thank you Tommy.
Yes the most owners take of their cars,if you think these cars are expensive in the US of A,,,,,,add about 100% here in Sweden!
I`m thinkin of buying this 1959 Dodge Coronet Lancer.
But they are asking for 45800 dollar,,,,,,,,, Skärmavbild 2021-08-29 kl. 13.39.46.png
