Not the whole nose, but the grille and bumper from a 52 Cadillac

This is a super cool post. I love the art of change that all of these represent. Here is a little different take on the same thought. A car with a truck nose. Usually this does not work, because cars are more sleek and elegant, but in this case i think it works. 1934 ford with a highly altered 41 international truck nose on it. 45F36099-7B2D-4ECF-9E3D-C9C178A031D8.jpeg

This is pretty cool. I've thought a long time about a Chevy truck with a 57 Chevy passenger nose on it.

That is really cool ! Just a thought for those looking at this thread, when you take a couple of 46 IHC truck hoods and put them together, its possible to make a really cool " boat tail " saw these down at the Portland swap meet a few years ago !

This camera angle makes this thing look way too front heavy. Got any other shots from different angles?

Along those same lines 4 of the "pontoons" from late 40's GM car doors put together make a fairly good speedster tail. (sorry; no pix but I have seen it in person.)

Thanks Mike, somehow it's not like I pictured. Maybe a 60's model truck or sectioning the bulge out of the body.

In New Zealand back in the day,(pre WW2) it was possible to buy a sedan chassis and front sheet metal package from most of the major brands. Local body builders built the pick up body from the cowl back. These were usually wood framed bodies, and often succumbed to rot. Not many have survived. Many of the body builders tended to have their own style that they used regardless of the badge on the front. Some worked better than others. There is a 37 ford pick up not far from here, car front and definitely smart to look at.

    Hello,

For the Studebaker truck enthusiasts, is this the same custom truck? Or are there two different versions of a Studebaker truck with a bullet nose running around So Cal? or elsewhere?

I just happen to see this custom Studebaker truck in a search for Craftsman homes similar to the one we grew up in the Westside of Long Beach from 1948 to 1953. In later years, the whole city block on Webster near the Terminal Island Freeway area was demolished and turned into an elementary school, plus a school district maintenance yard. So, our Craftsman House is only in our family photos.

    Jnaki,

Then later on a different search, up pops this larger image of another bullet nose Studebaker truck. They are both similar, but different, including perhaps adding a Studebaker sedan nose or whole front end components.
upload_2022-8-10_4-39-38.png Is this the same one (as above) or a different one with a car nose on the front? The bullet nose is very distinctive.

Maybe add the chrome on the front bottom of the hood on the 57 car frontend truck. Lippy
