Hot Rods What do you use for guide coat?

    Some of the painters I know must use a white cane and a seeing eye dog [they also do this for color matching]

    I always used a contrasting color of the same primer/surfacer that I put on for blocking. An old painter friend of mine told me that you can’t go wrong using the same material.

    I thought dodgy, rough, orange peely imperfect paint was traditional? I just use GM semi gloss chassis black. Cheap as chips and lasts in the gun for months so just grab the gun, give it a good shake and dust coat the area.
