I was going to post a picture, but the guys over at the Witness Protection Program suggested that I don't! Either that, or I just don't have any pictures of me driving.....
The closest I can come is my avatar pic.
That was the wife and I Memorial Day weekend, 2016 at a Rocky Mountain National Park pull over area near the summit Visitors Center. The road through the Park was just opened the day before! Some guy and his wife wanted to take a picture of him by my car, and offered to take a picture of my wife and I by the car. Gene

Shi* eating grin. My dad kept this car in the machine shed in South Dakota. He would toss me in it to keep me busy while he worked on tractors and farm stuff. I finally replaced the steering wheel with a repop of the original. That’s why the grin. Makes me think of making car noises and dad

At a small charity car show last weekend. My nephew (a BMW mechanic) brought his really sharp OT lowered, turbo'd, winged Acura...me, trying to convince him the error 0f his ways...and the attributes of hot rods.


He said if he cruised for chicks in an old hot rod, all he could probably pick up is MILFs and GILFs (grandmas)

 

Circa cords, bell bottoms, 2' belt, long hair, mustache. '70s? Woman killer.

427 square port, 11:1, solid lifter, 800dp, Hooker side headers, Muncie, 4:11. U-joint killer.

 

I still consider myself to be a young guy and this pic was 10 years ago...but, my chin hasn’t seen a razor in almost 20 years now.

Though I might add the mugs of my car buddies at the old watering hole. We meet every Wednesday .

Thanks. Still got it, 40 some years later. 2 years ago I was changing the front wheels, the phone rang... got back, dropped it off the jack, forgot to tighten the lug nuts. The left front broke through the fender, shot through an intersection, through a blackberry hedge and landed in a creek. Not a happy day, had to kick my own ass. I fixed that, and other over the years mishaps, in auto body class at the local junior college. Was about ready to spray when we shut down over Covid. Class starts again this Saturday, looking forward to getting my old pal looking good again.
