You know that ole story: man sells car (regretfully) then searches for it & never finds it. Well finally I found mine! Thought I'd share this on the main forum. On Sunday (8/15/21) the stars aligned after years of off n on searching, I found n bought back my old '54 Ford I had in high school! Still in somewhat disbelief & can't believe it!...Took this car down to the bones back in senior year in AutoShop. But unfortunately sold it before it was completed. In 2019 I bought another 54 Ford to fix up: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/take-2-new-old-54-ford.1176156/ hoping to get rid of the chip on my shoulder from selling the last one... Now, thanks to a random guy on a Facebook Ford Group* that posted a car for sale at a swap meet, which led me to her. Soon as I saw the picture, I recognized her immediately. After shouting in joy, I zoomed in on the for sale sign number, told my pop & we made the deal & took delivery that day 8/15! It's an 11yr old time capsule, untouched from when I sold it to the guy who just let it sit outside for years Even the photo album I made of the teardown & build was still with it inside! I feel like I'm 20 again haha. Only problem now is, I have TWO '54 Ford projects , yikes! So the other has to go sadly.
That's great. I still have the '53 Ford I've had since grade school, and I had thought about selling it several times, really glad I never did. Glad you got your original one back.
That’s cool, same as she was ? Better ? Worse ? wish I could have a few back I let loose over the years.
Pretty much the same as she was when I sold it back in 2011. Except it's been sitting outside for who knows how long bunch of leaves, dirt, and cat poop in the trunk.
Congratulations, I know how that feels. I re-acquired my avatar after about 25 years missing it. Now you can finally clean up the loose ends in your life.

Terrific that you found it and bought it back. Was it expensive to reclaim it compared to what you sold it for?

Good find! I couldn't find my first car with a pack of bloodhounds lead by Sherlock Holmes. Some Mexicans bought it and headed toward the boarder (I live in Virginia).
A car I had in high school , 61 Chrysler 4 door .. burgundy inside , white with burgundy top .. drove it all over , sold it ..had not seen it for many years , one day I stumbled onto it laying in a river bed to hold the bank from washing in .. wish I'd never seen it again
