Met this guy this week and he had an interesting D500 shorty. He goes by Marvin.

Last update. Painted in Aug, 2022. Around 4,000 miles on it. As expected, its a great driver. Going to be my year around driver, even in the snow & salted roads. (I'm retired, if the roads are really bad, I stay home. Gene

 

I picked this cab in Jan 2021 and the utility bed a bit after that..I also had a 1947 ford truck frame laying around so this Saturday I decided to put them together for transportation and bring it home...
I'll get to it eventually...I need windshield,roof repair and door repairs...
Also ,rust repair on bottom of rear cab..
I wana find a cool poly 318 or go crazy with a hemi?? Eventually??
I had to load it all in a fudge up spot in the desert.

Love that era Dodge trucks.
I had a 58 for a while, took me 2-3 years to finally get it. My wife's youngest brother wanted it real bad, so my wife talked me into selling it to him, and helping him get it running. Then one of my other brother in laws painted the truck for him. He drove it a week then sold it! I was ready to .... well you know... My wife hasn't ever even suggested I sell anything since.

I would look for a nice Poly for it, if it was mine.

Is the glass easy to find??
Windshield looks to be around but the rear is pretty scratched up

 

The windshield is still available new, the rear windows are not, they are around but not super easy to find, I have a spare for mine, just in case.

 

Gonna have to keep an eye on rusted out trucks in the east with good glass
