Thanks for the ride along. Going out there and "sight-seeing" the pits and cruising in an old hot rod really adds another dimension to the enjoyment. Went out a couple of times and brought cars, 29 highboy one time & the 34 another, just to cruise in. Throughly enjoyable and, if one can, do it.
yup! Jason, Ben and a few others made the cross country drive, raced the roadster and drove home! he even pulled the 39 apart on the salt! Now those are road trip memories you just can’t make at the local cruise in 5 blocks down the street!
There is nothing better in my pea sized brain than cruising the salt. Picture from 2010 with me and Brian Bass. Me and my buddy Lee Hansch stealing the Doug Rice coupe for a while in 2012. More salty goodness with my pals in the Peckerheads from Reno.
This year was a bust for me as my coupe sat on the trailer with a blown head gasket from the week before at Hotrod-a-rama. I was just there Friday night and Sat. I will return. Car is torn apart at the moment. Rebuilding the motor as we speak.
That, a great video showing a bit of everything rather than a poser deal showing their own car in front of everything or every body as some you see that show their car (s) in front of this pit and that pit and then 5o shots of their cars posed in different spots with not a lot of race cars except as background. Well done indeed, thanks for sharing.
Thank you, great coverage of the 2021 event. Really liked the moving shots of the great selection of hot rods.
Man I love that place. Great video ,dulls the pain of missing it a little .Not really, but I have been lucky enough to experience it 17 times, and am grateful for each and every lasting memory. Thanks for the bit of magic..
