Let me begin by saying I am sorry if this isn't HAMB friendly. I have no clue what this bracket is for(or how old it is) and this seemed like the most knowledgeable place to start.

I found this in a box of misc fasteners, brackets, linkages and automotive doodads that I think my Dad packed up when he left home in the '60s.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Looks like a bumper bracket from a 60's car of unknown make to me.

Without knowing the actual size...it looks like a transmission shifter cable bracket.

My guess would be an AC compressor bracket for who knows what.

Be like me, have no idea what it’s for, but keep it because you may need it someday.

That is really a good guess!

I was thinking maybe part of a floor shifter install kit, like the 3 speed conversions.

    Good luck finding out!

  16. I think I made 4 of these, with holes of different sizes in different places, until I made one that fit.

Half of it is a throttle bracket. The other half is a fuel filter bracket.
