I read about the sad new yesterday, I always enjoyed his cometary when he worked a race. With all the bad announcers the media has now and has had during the years Mr. Jenkins stood out as a well versed, intelligent and enjoyable. RIP Mr. Jenkins
I met Bob when ESPNII aired my race car series in '95. He drove one of my cars in a Celebrity Race. Just a great person. He will be missed.
Sincere sympathy goes out to his immediate Family and friends. Plus, his racing family, friends and fans
I met Bob once when he was with ESPN at a sprint car race at Winchester, Indiana. I was working track crew. What a nice, down to earth guy. RIP Bob.
Legendary and highly respected. One of racings all- time great voices. Locally around Indy we called him Bitchin Bob Jenkins.
A nice thing about Robin Miller is that he wasn't just an interviewer, he was a fan of cars, racers and racing and didn't try to hide it. Bob Jenkins didn't try to kill you with his racing knowledge and stats. You had to admire his attitude and professionalism.
