Congrats, Mark. That's Way TOO COOL ! You are the perfect caretaker for it. I just Love 60's show Rods. I have a set of bias ply B.F.Goodrich 5.00-15 W.W. tires they are only 23 1/2'' tall. Also multi carbs would look cool too. But in saying that, it's like telling Leonardo da Vinci to add some lipstick to the Mona Lisa just to give her more of a 50's vibe. lol Seriously, that Rod is just perfect. Enjoy, and yes more pictures when you can please. THANKS
Great part of that car is he resisted the urge to put a bubble top on it. It also looks to me that it could be a 'practical' driver, and that's the coolest part of all!
I've got to ask... are you going to take this one to coffee once it's running? That should turn some heads!
Since Denny built this while in his 70's, the radial tires are era appropriate. Great looking car, regardless.
I am never going to live down my plug wire thread am I??? That is some funny shit right there https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...al-please-help-me-i-am-such-an-idiot.1166485/
First of all, you are correct... you will never live down the plug wire thread. its just to friggin' weird. Secondly, thank you for the pictures of the hand made parts. The hours and the labor must have been off the charts. After finishing the individual parts then he had to make them all fit correctly. I personally would appreciate seeing more of the car like underneath, engine bay, just everything. I would just leave it like it is and enjoy it. A picture of the car in front of Scotty's would be amazing (once you have changed the plug wires).
There's so much to like about this car. One thing I really like the way the console sweeps up between the seat backs and wraps onto what I guess would otherwise be the package shelf. Mark; Do you know what the seats are from?
I have, but part of me wishes I didn't have the one I own now. My poor Impala hasn't been down in 2 years because it is such a pain to move everything....
My father in law once owned a 65 Mustang Alexander Bros custom. That shop turned out some cool stuff. I'd post pics but for the cut-off on pony cars. What a fleet you have!
