He messaged me last night that the car was stolen yesterday from his shop. There seems to be some evidence it was stolen by someone from North Carolina. If anyone has any information, the owner would be very grateful for any help!

From What Area of Florida was car taken from?
And do you have an area in North Carolina were you think the car might be on its way too?

    That’s the shits.
What leads the owner to think it was taken by someone in NC?

Here hoping it’s found safely. Would not be surprised if it’s on a boat headed over seas.
Will keep my eyes open. I travel quite a bit.

Kinda middle of Florida, his behind him neighbor had his kid down from N. Carolina and he was just popping up unannounced. The owner is actually out of town picking up a truck, just heading back now. Not sure of the Carolina area the prime suspect is from. I will update as soon as possible with any new info.
    Thanks to all!

It does sound a bit suspect if the neighbor's kid from out of town was snooping around and then he and the car both are gone.
I don't like having people I don't know real well in certain areas of my property simply because you don't know where they will run their mouth off about what they saw. If you can see it from the road no problem if someone shows up and asks about it but if someone shows up asking about a part that is hidden away out of sight that I don't have advertised somewhere (I usually meet buyers at my friend's gas station with small stuff) I'm not going to be happy with who ever blabbed about them.

With Google Earth and drones it can be tough to hide our treasures from prying eyes

The car now has the ralley wheels (6" front, 7"rears) painted black instead of the silver, and trim rings have been removed.

I need to apologize with regards to my post regarding the car on another social media platform - I read it quickly ..... too quickly, and on relocating the post, I see now that it was a Stolen notification, re-posted by someone who generally re-posts posts for parts and cars that are for sale.

I humbly apologize in advance for getting anyone's hopes up.

I do hate the MoFo's who steal someone's pride and joy. Hot rodding is an emotional hobby - the car that floats your boat drives you to achieve the build, and to have someone rob of your pride and joy - all I can say is "let the MoFo's rot in a cell with a 7 foot tall 300lb nymphomaniac!"

In these deals I always figure one should keep their ear to the ground for word of someone with a very similar car who all the sudden is making huge progress when they normally are very short on project funds.
Same with that engine and the particular pieces on it. That's not an all matching setup but a thief or someone buying from a thief may not know that without a lot of research but the guy who has been wanting that setup for a tri 5 chevy, early Vette or rod may feel they hit the jackpot. Thinking about it I never did check the numbers on the carbs that were on my early Corvette Dual 4 intake to make sure that they were the real deal back in the 70's but they came by honest means.
