  1. It's raining cats and dogs here but will clear out by 8:00 or so.
Delaying our departure time but we have plenty of time. No need to rush out the door.

  2. Safe travels. Thanks for taking all of along virtually.

  4. Had the hose going from the turbo blow off going up a long steep mountain yesterday but my co pilot Eric had it fixed in a jiffy. Layer up in motel last night and now rested heading out from Lexington west to Kansas city and beyond
    All is well. IMG_20210801_222704_695.jpg 20210801_154805.jpg 20210801_131159.jpg 20210801_131154.jpg 20210801_131135.jpg

Years ago I blew a turbo hose on my '04 6.0 Power Stroke. Mine blew pulling my 5th wheel RV going up a grade on the toll road in Orange County. A little bit of the Right Stuff helped solve the problem at the time. Unfortunately nothing could solve all of the other issues associated with the 6.0 diesel short of a new GMC Duramax.

Mine blew off twice leaving Las Wages for Bonneville on Nevada Hwy 93… After the second time went back into the trailer and installed an additional hose clamp. No more problems with that. Variable vane turbo was starting to stick at 80k miles.. traded in the 6.0. Long load with lots of resistance; take your time.

  7. Well heck..
I purchased diesel in my aux tank this morning then I stopped at a test stop and filled my main tank and made it less than 1000 feet .the fuel i got was 1/2 water. Got it towed in around 11:00 tonight to a repair shop.
Hope to get the water out of the fuel tank and get back on the road soon.
At least it ain't broke real bad..

I70 thru the mountains is closed due to mud slides. They are going thru Wyoming to miss it.

  22. Friday Salt report.
Everything here is on hold this morning. Hard wind last night wrecked everything that the SCTA had set up and with the wind it has covered the Salt with smoke so thick visibility is only 1/4 mile
We are getting our put set up and will try to get into tech sometime today. 20210806_075544.jpg 20210805_150652.jpg 20210806_075536.jpg

Did the wind cause loss of two other courses? If so will they be able to get them back going before long?
