    Danny, have you bought a new battery yet? I was talking to Earl at his shop and he still has some battery's left from when I closed earlier this year, give him a call.

    I got over 8 years in the 32 Roadster.

  4. 5 Yr Lead Acid Batterys last about 4 to 5 yrs in my experience.

    When I tried to run the truck in April of '21 I got a grrunt and a spin, another try, with either, a grunt and a START!! I let it charge for a while. After that while, it started with a grunt. ??????? Went into my BIBLE (log book) and DAMN, THE BATTERY TURNED OUT TO BE 7 YEARS OLD!!!!! Gee, time goes by when your having fun. New battery, staets great!!

    7 years on my optima in the olds so far no problems got 6 years on the merc same battery no problems

    My last one lasted 12 years in my 39 ford. Interstate workaholic 6 volt. Replacement 4 years now

  11. Thanks for the reminder- I 12-volt converted my truck right after I bought it 7 years ago. Probably ought to replace that battery soon before we take it out of town anywhere.

    As expensive as they can be one would think they should last at least 15 years.

    I know this is hard to believe but I have 2002 Dodge Ram diesel I bought new April 2002. Has about 55k and still has original molar battery’s in it.
