    Twenty years ago the straight laced, stuffed shirt Chicago Tribune featured an article on the Orange Crate, I thought you guys might like to see it.

    Maybe the Couver Kid will chime in, as he owns it, or at least @saltracer219, who built the current engine.

    A few years back, while at the CHRR which takes place at the FAMOSO drag strip, there is a function over at Squeak Bells shop in Bakersfield known as " The Piss Up ". While there, we all heard a rumble of uncorked headers and up the alley came the " Orange Crate " and it was astounding to see the car and to hear and feel the power of its engine. A good time was had by all !

    There used to be a clean and quick 57 Chebbie "Orange Crate" that ran at the Bay Area tracks in the 70's, maybe into the 80's, Sears Point, Sacramento, Fremont, was sponsored by my neighbor's speed & machine. It is in the movie More American Graffiti at Fremont
