    Sorry if I offended anyone in my post about tunnel rams by using the phrase "the 70s ". Thread deleted because of it.

    I still would like to find a good used single 4 barrel tunnel ram even though I got in the dog house.

    I remember the 70's clear as a bell. I bought two women houses and also gave them furniture... never saw them again.

    Another thread says that the first production Tunnel ram came out in 1968 and I probably read about it in Hot Rod sitting in Vietnam.
    First one I ever saw was at Little River drag strip in 69 on some gas class car. I only remember it because one of my buddies spotted it and pointed it out. We were both racing Bone stock stock class cars.
    If you are under 60 you probably thought they had been around for ever though.

    I remember that in the early 70's the big discussion on them was that several of those box shaped ones had caused some real excitement when gas pooled in them and then went poof.

    Maybe Not a production one but there was tunnel Rams as early as the 50s!!
    They just weren't called tunnelram's!!
