I have been a member of the HAMB only since 2019, but every time Butch posted, it was always a pleasure to read what he shared with all of us ! I always felt that I learned something new and useful from his contributions.

 

Seemed like a great guy. I wish we could have met. Godspeed, Butch! RIP

 

Rest in peace Butch you will be missed !

RIP. It makes you think about the wealth of knowledge on this board, and how some day, all the guys who lived the era we are emulating, will be gone. Hopefully, they will share what they know and live on in memory of those who follow.

 

I recall enjoying his post on the tri five site , where I recall he went by "56sedandelivery".
I also enjoyd his post here as well, sad to see he's passed away. Condolences to his family and freinds.

 

A great guy who will be sadly missed. I hate seeing such knowledge disappear.

The sad thing is, how many folks just slip through the cracks and nobody notices they have passed and don't post here anymore?

 

Very sad news...wealth of knowledge and seemed like a good guy.

 

It's kind of weird feeling shocked and bummed out after hearing of the passing of someone you know from a web site. That's says two things to me, first...the Hamb is an extraordinary place where ball busting, great advice, warmth and generosity is shown about a hobby/passion we all share. Second, Butch was a real, old school car guy, a very generous person with advice and stuff he had accumulated over the years. I often read where he offered to give away valuable parts if someone needed it. He was a real asset to this place...was part of the Hambs soul. A little piece of that soul is gone...lets all step up and fill the void Butch left. God Bless him on his last road trip....RIP Butch.

I'm going to miss "Butch's" posts. Nice guy. Good spirit. Good humor. Been around a long time. Lots of knowledge. Always willing to help.

RIP--very sad to hear. Always had a lot of Chevy knowledge and very helpful as well-he will be missed.

 

Condolences to Hamber Butch's family and friends in his passing...We don't always agree here but as a Group of similarly minded Motorheads I feel a sense of loss...certainly not uncommon around here......May he Rest in Peace...

I called him once to see if he would like a HAMB license plate tag, I had bought 2 extra thinking he wasn't net savvy and could use one. He said no didn't need one. Come to find out he had also bought extra and when they ran out he offered them up to the guy's that missed out when sold out.......................

Dang it. I’ve been reading his lines for probably 15 years. Always had some wise words to contribute. He will be missed. God speed brother. Hear that engine whine and bang a few gears for me.

 

So many posts like this lately. It really is sad. Like so many have said he was a wealth of knowledge and a fixture around here. He leaves some big shoes behind that will probably never be filled.
My deepest condolences to Butch's family and close friends. He will be missed.
